What is the Teachers For Global Classrooms Program?
Teachers For Global Classrooms is a program of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs administered by IREX. Participants are selected through a national, open competition and must be U.S. citizens and full time middle or high school teachers with five or more years classroom experience.
The program provides an opportunity for teachers to globalize teaching and learning in their own classrooms through participation in an 8-week online course, two Global Symposia in Washington, D.C. and a two or three week international travel fellowship (in my case Russia).
